A new Men in Sheds project at Hardie Park – Stanford le Hope, has held it’s first Shed meeting. Bravely meeting on Friday the 13th of January, people from the local community met to discuss what activities their Shed might offer.
Local community worker Rob Groves was very up beat on the benefits a Shed might bring to the local community. He commented “With our Hardie Park cafe doing so well, there have been plenty of people expressing an interest in joining and helping with the Shed project. As we already have volunteers at Hardie Park and a spare freight container on site, we hope to have our Shed up and running by the Spring.”
Founder of the Rayleigh Shed – John Youell & Shed Coordinator Hamish Macdiarmid visited Hardie Park at the end of last year and gave a short presentation and Q&A on Sheds.
